Fight Ibis Launch 6 Nickel Rocket into Cyberspace 
Unearthed Winner Back on the Road with New Single 
 

Sunshine Coast genre benders Fight Ibis, fresh off a main stage appearance at last month's sold out Big Pineapple Music Festival, have regrouped after a brief writing gap to release latest single 6 Nickel Rocket, also announcing a short run of launch dates to showcase new works to a core fanbase.

The tour will hit home crowds on the Sunshine Coast with a Solbar show, see the band team up with Israeli power duo Elephant Hive at Vinnie's on the Gold Coast, return to the big stage in Byron Bay at The Northern and line up with 63 other bands at mammoth heavy annual Dead of Winter in Brisbane, alongside bands such as Cog, Mammal, Svetlanas (RUS) and many more.

Lead singer Kyuss Calamari, says of the upcoming single release and launch "This new song is a simple pop song about being blissfully ignorant towards people that are trying to make you compromise what you want to do with your life.  The launch is not as much a tour as it a statement that around origin time we refuse to go into NSW. So we’re playing some local shows with some of our favourite local bands for a bit of fun.  Ah wait, Byron is on the tour... we'll see you at a gig!"

In what has been a busy couple of years for the band, Fight Ibis have had quite the introduction to the national scene, popping up on industry radars everywhere with numerous festival inclusions (Jungle Love, Big Pineapple Music Festival, Mojo Burning), spot rotations and premieres on youth broadcaster Triple J (5/5 single premieres over 24mths and a solid touring schedule.

The band, named Big Pineapple Music Festival Triple J Unearthed Winner and Triple J Feature Artist in 2017 has received wraps from some big industry names and is all set to fire this rocket into space once again with subsequent tours and singles planned for the rest of the year.
