RICK DANGEROUS
& THE SILKIE BANTAMS
Rick and his majestic barnyard companions are back.
After a rudely interrupted unleashing of his new single back in July 2021 courtesy of the girthy schlong of the pangolin’s revenge, the time has come to make things right and give music lovers of exquisite taste what they have been desperately craving for nigh on two years - Rick Dangerous live in the flesh.
‘Braaap!’ is a tale of a gentleman, his bike and a scorching case of STD’s on a never-ending quest to find unsavoury companionship, one rural truckstop at a time.
In preparation for this momentous occasion, Rick will be doubling down on an elephant’s course of antibiotics, tri pleating his slacks and throwing the leg over the steel horse, ready to hit the road for a long overdue sojourn along the east coast in celebration.
This latest single ‘Braaap!’ takes the band’s sordid lyrics and heavy grooves to a new level, and is proving a huge addition to the bands live set along with the classics that set this act apart from any other.
RD's sound has been described as sexy, repulsive, abusive, and at best, obnoxious with their debut self-titled 2014 EP garnering some serious underground buzz. The lead single The General was an instant fan favourite with its ‘Grip, Squeeze, Twist, Release’ mantra sending mosh-pits into a frenzy. This was followed up in 2016 with the sophomore EP Thrust Machine which spawned the singles ‘Bruja’ and ‘Powdered Sugar’, seeing the band embark on their most audacious headline tours to date. The band was no stranger to the festival circuit either, playing several feverishly received slots including Dead of Winter Festival, Lagerfest and Mojo Burning.

REVIEW + ACCLAIM
“With highly-danceable groove-metal riffage, some of the most clever and hilarious lyrics you’ve heard this century, and a bespectacled tea-sipping frontman who pelvic-thrusts like a sexual maths teacher whilst screaming like a deranged psychopath, Rick Dangerous & the Silkie Bantams have one of the most captivating and entertaining live shows in Australia right now.” MUSIC FEEDS
"So much entertainment value the mere act of blinking could induce FOMO. Shlock Rock has a new face in town, and they’re coming for your tax statements.” SCENESTR
"This band is the full package and they put 200 per cent into their live performance." MUSIC IS MY MUSE
